Full disclosure: there’s a good chance this one doesn’t actually qualify as a B-movie, but, as we saw earlier on this list, A-list talent doesn’t necessarily make something an A-list project. The production value here is probably a bit too good to land this in the B-movie realm but it’s off the radar enough for me.

This film was apparently written specifically for Brian Posehn by Mike Demski. When you’ve got a lewd, debaucherous, and creepy uncle Nick in mind, Posehn hits the nail on the head.

The cast is generally excellent, as Posehn is flanked by Paget Brewster who gets to show off her comedic chops alongside Missi Pyle who has been a great comedic actress for a long time. Throw a lot of cheap booze into the mix and you’ve got a recipe for a raunchy.

Uncle Nick is a particularly shitty and delusional drunk who sets his lecherous sights on his brother’s new stepdaughter. Just because he is the main character, doesn’t mean the audience is supposed to cheer for him, and therein lies the challenge.

I appreciate movies that take the path less traveled and take some risks with their characters, but this could be a bit much for most people because that’s not exactly what you want out of a Christmas movie.

Recommendation: If you are a fan of Posehn’s comedy and don’t mind watching him be a disgusting person, which is in his wheelhouse sometimes, then this may be worth your while.
