NFL Week 16: Picks and Predictions

I didn’t get to see much of the Titans 20-17 win over the 49ers, but I did follow along on the game cast and on the radio. Starting the week off with the wrong pick always stings, but I picked the Titans to cover so at least I got a piece of it.

I had a feeling A.J. Brown would have a big game and he returned with a vengeance 11/145/1

San Francisco was in control of the game early, leading 10-0 at the half, but momentum swung heavily at the beginning of the second half on a Jimmy G interception. It was his second of the game and the first one came as the Niners were driving to extend their lead at the end of the 1st quarter. In my breakdown for this game, I kept circling back to QB play for a reason and it turned out to be a massive factor.

Ryan Tannehill wasn’t exceptional but he was efficient and he led Tennessee to take the late lead but the 49ers found a drive with a big play from Deebo Samuel and were able to tie the game.

Deebo Samuel continues to perform at a high level, posting 191-all-purpose-yards

Fortunately, I got to see the drama at the end as the Titans answered that TD drive with one of their own to kick the game-winning field goal. That loss doesn’t kill the Niners’ playoff hopes and the win helps Tennessee get within one win of clinching the division.

It’s going to be a messy holiday weekend with another week of so many players being out, but the show must go on. I’m going to post my picks, but it’s the holidays so I’m not going to get into the details in these games.
